The Ellen Sharma Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Karaipakkam

Located in sylvan surroundings amidst a beautiful plant nursery, this school caters to around 500 kindergarten and primary school children.  These children come from underprivileged rural and industrial areas and are often first generation learners.

We provide them with high quality primary education, including use of computer facilities, sports, art and craft, music and dance and many other activities.

Trained teachers and helpers provide not only the best possible education in Tamil, but also teach these children English in order to lay a solid foundation for further education.

With free mid-day meals, and a health drink, these children have a zest for learning, not often seen in their urban counterparts.

The Ellen Sharma Memorial, Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Sholinganallore

Spread over 4 acres of farmland at Sholinganallore, this school began as a little village creche. Today, it caters to children from local villages, the city of Chennai, other parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Manipur, Meghalaya, Assam and even as far away as Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Tibetan refugee children from camps in Karnataka and children from Nepal also form a part of this family.

Beginning with a creche and day care centre, our children continue in  our Kindergarten and Primary section, Middle and High School.

With airy classrooms, laboratories, computer lab's, a library and sports grounds, our children, can get the best possible education and atmosphere, far away from the pollution and noise of the city.

Hostel accommodation, kitchens and dining halls-provide our children with 3 main meals, snacks, health drink supplements, with most of the rice, cereals, vegetables and milk coming from our own farms and dairy.

Our dedicated teachers and staff help us maintain the highest educational standards, without compromising on our philosophy of a holistic education.

Resident staff members, also serve as house-mothers and father's and develop close bonds with the children under their care.

Excellent medical facilities take care of basic needs of our children and hospitals located in the vicinity come to our aid in times of trouble.
